Is there any good FREE software for extracting data (like types and
numbers of errors, link status, cpu and memory utilization...) from
Cisco devices and logging it to the server?
Something like NetWatch.

Check out MRTG. MRTG is based on SNMP and a ton of information about Cisco
devices can be queried through SNMP.
