Really?
I'll have to Google that...

The weather has been pretty nice the past few weeks. Next week I'll be
down in Hood River photographing the waterfalls and the Gorge in
general. Should be hot down there.

For those interested, I just posted a much tighter crop of the blob.
It has an interesting texture, with the appearance of something inside with
darker tones...

I think it's a Alien Egg Sac.
Had I popped it open, I suppose a beastie would have popped out...inserted a
straw into my neck...and popped out of my chest at some point...

That would have been interesting.
Hmmm... There IS this new bulge in my stomach...

Ah, yes!
Well there you go...
Good thing you didn't cut it open, or we'd both have things crawling out the
chest...

Interesting how they drain so much liquid.
-Also fascinating how the water beads form so distinctly.

And yes...we must have driven right past your house.
We were on the 101 from Port Angeles, and stayed on it to San Fransisco.

Thanks for pointing to your image.

The one on my site was taken about 2 years ago, but it was also on a
hot day. Maybe the fungus was sweating? I don't know and I've lived
here all my life.

I'm going to be down in Hood River most of next week photographing
Multnomah Falls and the other falls nearby...then going to Maryhill
Museum and the Stonehenge replica. I haven't been down that way since I
was a kid.

Hope you enjoyed your stay up in this neck of the woods. Now you see
why we live here.

If you came from Port Angeles, then you wouldn't have gone past
here...but just a block away.

Last summer I was in Port Angeles and went up to Hurricane Ridge.
Gorgeous scenery...I need to get that stuff posted on my site.

Actually, every time we drive to places like that, we say to each other,
"Why don't we live here?"

We didn't get to roam around in that area much.
Next time I'll likely drive up alone, so I can spend all the time I like
without making my poor wife wait for "one more picture..."
