You want a responce? Lets see the innocent posts that got you booted. I'm
not the -gotta have the last word everytime- type poster but if you want a
responce, prove you were just posting an opinion and Phil tossed you. This
last taunt you posted here shows me you were probably acting like a total
jerk on that forum and is why you got booted. Thanx for showing us the real
you.

I jumped in -- in defence -- of someone else...

It started here:

(veroman's, first, post)
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13764385

("LM's" reply...)
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13764747

("v" replies
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13765089

And, then I moved in: (I've heard the bogus 'full-sized' argument --
never pushed on the best SD posters (that, I've, many times, reconsized
as outstanding photographers)-- yet, I have found that this bogus
'full-sized' image dictate -- is just that:

many times, I've seen this bogus argument: that I responded to -- with
examples not responded to -- and, you may not agree with my opinion --
or even consider them extreem: why shouldn't I have the right to
express them (against the other extreem)?

After all: I posted great images (regardless of brand -- I just, also,
did a 'pro-con' on technologies that I had a "actual-experience" with).

But I digress:

I (dared to) pounced on the obvious:

1)
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13774020
2)
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13774046
(EG: iso over 200 is a problem with foveon chips)
3)
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13774107
(ok -- a bark -- but sometinng to get banned for?)

(Marcel -- who seldon posts "full-sized" images (but is an excellent
photographer -- as I have posted: many times -- then posted...)

4)
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13774119

And then I post this silly thing:

5)
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13774141

And then I am banned???

(check the record (unless P.A. pulls it) -- that's my last exchanges)
the last G7 posts:
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/po...r=hiizifiehyih

Was that exchange that harsh to warrant my b-n banned????

U-tell-me???

(and, I'm not a puppy, but if you check the record, you will find that
my critics, unlike me -- made all sorts of personal attacks, against
me, for just voicing honest opinions about my experience -- and one
more thing:

In a previous post: I 'bashed' "TheSigmaGuy" for violating more of
Askey's rules (bashing brands and individuals...far more than I ever
did...which is true) yet, he, like me: adds energy to the forum. So
I'd never suggest that he'd be banned from the forum. I only noted him
to point out Askey's inconsistencies.

We (DSG vs Me) often butted heads -- but I don't consider him a
'candy-ass'.

But, wadr: here is a thread -- started by a 'candy-ass' (why? Where,
onced banned, I couldn't repond -- but I like where it turned out):

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13875331

(and, if you are impatient: read down from here

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13896800

(also note: the original exchange was 'cut' -- cuz,I'm figuring, it
didn't 'read-good')

IMHO-CJC: that's a rather bad (and cheap) character-slur...

(...Phil??? are you out there????)

Stacy: don't believe me: I just gave you the tip of the 'written'
record (unless Phil 'pulls' it -- It's his server) -- I'd suggest that
U read it (resd it quick!!!), before U next bash me.

Little late to the love fest here, sorry. But is garvic007 actually
Steve G??

And, whoever you are, re: dpreview forums, two words:

Contentiousness;

Volume.

Yea right, what was thisbelow post then? You've been ABUSIVE in that grouop
for months and Phil just got tired of your personall attacks and off topic
rants, like the ones about the stock market etc. Yes you deserved to get
banned from looking for a few minutes at your profile.

----------------------

(DSG doesn't 'respond' to those who push back ('bullies are like that))

...just look at the image:

1) Look at the eye reflection (two modeling lights) of both subjects for the
basic setup.

2) you even have a 3rd key light -- just above the subjects -- to highlight
the hair (and seperate it from the background).

3) and even a stock backdrop.

Do it in your room, a church, or a barn -- it dosen't matter:

This is, basic-setup, studio photography 101!

(if you can't control your exposure, color noise and temperature here -- for
a sitting target -- you can't do it anywhere -- and, yes, manual settings,
that's what you do for fixed-studio work (Duh!) )

DSG: He is good for pushing hard -- but when you push back -- he tucks-tail
and looks for weaker game -- that's what 'chicken-hawk' do!

LOL!!!

PS: I'm sounding a bit hard here, on DSG: but look at who I'm responding to
-- and look at the junk, and abuse -- he spouts. That's the only reason I'm
pulling no punches here.

------

Sounds like someone looking for a fight to me..

Concerning 'DaSigmaGuy':

Here is something typical...
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...essage=8177572
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...essage=8180311

or start here (see the first garvic7 post, and then read down)
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=10628506
(agree or disagree, but am I not making some points here, and posting
examples?)

Now try to find potty language or instances where I call people stupid
or an idiot?

The truth is DSG -- has a rep for bashing people, when he can get away
with it.
And (do a search) he will go on about daring people to post full sized
images --
and when you do: he shuts up.

Now don't get me wrong: I'm not suggesting that DSG (DaSigmaGuy) should
be banned,
far from it, he adds energy to the forum. I'm just pointing out an
example of a person
who has a big mouth, and bashes both individuals and cameras -- by name
-- and still
hasn't been banned.

Actually, I'm of the belief that it's not so much Phil, as it is a hand
full of forum
whiners that simply can't stomach that the general public has access to
opinions that
they do not share -- and so they 'snitch' on those who they disagree
with -- yet turn
a blind eye on 'abusive' talk that serves their position.

Do your homework 'Girl' (before calling me a jerk).

And, for the record:
it's been my experience that Phil hasn't the dignity to ever actually
state a reason for dismismissal (even though he publicly waxes on about
'warnings', I never got one ).

IMHO: that's not a policy worth of respect.

And in All fairness Stacy:

How could you post an example sooo out of context???

Why didn't you start with the first exchange?

Me:
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13626585

Subject: "Here is an example"
http://sigmasd10.fotopic.net/p11905146.html

post your own opinions

====================================
' Men substitute words for reality and then fight over words'

.....

DaSigmaGuy's first reply:
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13636406

Subject: "Re: Here is an example"
Strange that, Garvic "I am big fat troll" 7, posting one of my shots as
if it were flawed in some way, especially when its extremely colour
accurate!

The girls were wearing makeup and the SD10 with its superior colour
accuracy captured this spot on.

Sure it may not look that attractive but girls seldome do when they
have a face pastered with make up!
Regards

DSG
--

(this was how the exchange was started off: now you tell me who is the
jerk? )

When quoting me mid way through the exchange (your previous post) --
how could you have left this out?

Who was the first guy out of line?

And keep in mind: who is the one calling names, and who is the one
providing examples and facts? -- did you see his phot o? Do the colors
seem accurate: I began by posting a link, and merely ask people to draw
their own conclusions, and then he started slinging the mud...the name
calling, )

Let's be fair about it -- don't take things out of context.

Stacey may well have gotten bored with you.

Who are you, anyway?

Yes: she might be bored.
But isn't that her call?

And I certainly didn't insist that she voiced an opinion on this
matter -- but I don't have a problem with her doing so....

....and, no, do I have a problem --- with you doing so, as well:

(so, I guess, that is the sort of 'person' -- who I am 'anyway'...)

Who Am I?

(I guess I am someone who tolerates such (free-formed) "stuff")

Of course! I was proffering a reason why you well might not her from her
on this.

That's not revealing. I asked:

Who are you?
