Hello,
I just can't get this program working since I loaded it. I bought it
Shrink-Wrapped Retail Box which means very little I guess.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED the last time:

1: I clicked on SELECT A DESIGN
2: I selected ANNOUNCEMENTS
3: I selected OUR NEW ADDITION.....

I then get a gray dialog box with the text:
"The fllowing item cannot be located"
#_______ each time I try it shows a different number.

Below that there is a place where a path is already entered.

E:\Program Files\Microsoft Picture-it!2002\shoeboxpl6pb.sbs

Under the path shown:
"If you moved this itemto another location enter it here"
I entered andother hard drive letter....nothing, and again a third hard
drive letter, nothing.

Help?

Hi Mike...

Unless that's a typo there that you made; I suspect
that it should really be C:\Program Files\ and so on,
not E:\

Try changing it to C; see what happens.

In a normal installation not all the templates are loaded on the computer to
save space, put in the cd and browse for it ......it will probably be in a
folder called templates or extras or something similar. Or reinstall and
pick custom install option and install entire template library.

Like Mike says, copy all the CD files (except program files) to your hard
drive. You can create directory within the Picture It! program directory in
which to place them.

Then when the program tries to find a design or piece of clip art on your E:
(CD) drive, change the location to where you copied the files or 'browse' to
it. Once it accepts the new location, it will stick and not ask you for the
location again.

I had the same problem with the version of Picture It! I installed. The
program never gave me the option to put the design and clip art onto the
hard drive during installation. It was easy enough to fix, though.
