Sorry to intrude on the group like this, but I can't figure this out.
We have a customer who uses software from a company called Compix,
that triggers digital photos via input from a GPS reciever attatched
to the serial port, and sends the trigger signal via the parallel
port. They also mark the image with the latitude/longitude. These two
programs are called LLTrig, and GSTrig. He also has a custom program
called Fire that triggers the digital camera. These programs ran fine
on his old laptop running MS-DOS 5.0. However, GSTrig will not run on
his slightly newer laptop running dual-boot MS-DOS 6.22 and Windows
2000 (previously 9

. It locks up when looking for an optional compass
on COM1. He has a desktop computer running Windows 2000, that the
programs do run on, but they will not run on any Windows XP computers
that I have tried them with. Is anyone here familiar with either of
these programs, and/know how to get them running with newer
systems/know of any alternative programs that do similar things. He
does not like the programs that add the latitude/longitude data via
synchronized time done after the pictures are taken, rather than when
they're taken. Compix no longer supports these programs and refuses to
give him any help with it.
