Probably nothing. There may be a limit to how large a disk
the 300D can handle.

This is what i did some time ago when i 1st had this prob. i formated th MD
in the camera

All Canons since the G3 have been able to handle cards of more than 2
GB. You do have to use FAT32 when formatting the card.

I don't have a card that large (I GB is my largest). But I
don't recall the menu giving me the choice of formats.
