Can any expert help. Using wxp pro.. m/s backup and a ntl broadband
connection. I mention this because last week this connection was lost and I
needed to reinstall from the NTL cd. For the past three days or so my
back up has been taking considerably longer 20/25 mins to back up 1800 files
from my docs. previously it was complete in say 10 mins.. It is now
including a ...eredhardlinkdata_ followed by a string of constantly
changing numerals and letters entry . The time needed to complete is going
ballistic and the 'verify' graphic of files returning to their folders has
gone away. any help would be appreciated.

Hi Geo. With ref. to your bad connection last week.
Why don`t you D\load and install Broadband Medic from NTL ?.
As for the more serious problem.
Go into Event Viewer, to see what errors\warnings are showing.
Don`t know much about MS backup though, never trusted it.
