Disabling Windows AutoUpdates

I don't like rebooting my laptop. I'll often times have 15 Firefox
windows open (not including tabs), several Notepad windows open (some
of which whose contents won't be saved), etc. When I need to turn it
off, I instead put it in Hibernate.

Unfortunately, sometimes, Windows autoupdate will autodownload an
update and, unless I tell hit the "No" button every five or so minutes
(which is something I can't do if I've left my laptop on while I'm in
the shower, as an example), will have my laptop rebooted,
automatically. This is a behavior I really don't like. If a window
popped up telling me that the autoupdate was complete, I could have
time to save my Notepad documents and to finish up what I was doing in
Firefox. It could even say something like "Click OK to reboot" and not
have a Cancel button. Either way, I could finish up what I was doing.
Unfortunately, these options are not accorded me.

So... anyone know if it's possible to make Windows XP do this?

Start > Right click My Computer and select Properties, and then the
Automatic Update tab. 'Download updates for me, but let me choose
when to install them'...
