I have a computer with a Pentium 866 MHz chip. A friend of mine says he
has a Celeron 1.3 GHz that he can "upgrade" my computer with. Can anybody tell me if this will be an "upgrade"? I have my doubts. I play games like "Medal of Honour Spearhead", "Battlefield 1942" and "Rise of Nations". Thanks Harry |

You'll have to check with the manual for the mobo to see if it can handle that cpu. -- http://www.bootdisk.com/ |

With Slot-T or "lin-lin" FcPga-2-FcPga2 adapter probably will if it natively doesn´t ... As it runs now 133fsb Cpu, won´t be problem even OC-it a bit from 1,3 to at least 1,5GHz @ default Vcore ... Maybe his friend was planning to do so or to do a Tualatin mod there... didn´t say what MOBo exactly doh ... -- Regards , SPAJKY ® mail addr. @ my site @ http://www.spajky.vze.com "Tualatin OC-ed / BX-Slot1 / inaudible setup!" |

Yes, I realize now that I should have said what kind of motherboard I
am using. I'll get back to you on that one. In theory though, would a Celeron 1.3 GHz be an improvement on an Pentium 866 MHz? |
