Default Skype & Digital camera/webcam

Is it possible to use my digital camera as a web camera when using
Skype?

I was told this was possible but haven't been able to do this.

Thanks

That's a really wide open question.

Are you asking if you can connect a digital camera to your computer?
If so, then your digital camera needs to have a video output of some
kind that will connect to an interface on your computer that uses the
same format as the cameras output.

If you connect to the computer using a USB lead then the camera normally
appears as an extra drive. Can you use the setup on the camera to make it a
'camera' instead? If there is such a setting then plug it into the computer
and see what happens

Oh dear!
I suggest you ask the smartarse who told you it could be done to do it
for you or provide a bit more information such as the camera make &
model for a start and what you have tried so far.
