I've purchased an old Catalyst 1900 and I would like to upgrade the
software to the Enterprise Edition.
Anybody know where I can get it ?
TIA

The upgrade kit to bring Standard edition 1900 and 2820s to Enterprise
is rather expensive. You may be better off buying a used Catalyst 2900
or 3500 XL switch with the ~$350 US you are going to spend on the
upgrade kit.

Buy a smartnet contract for it for about $60 and you can download all the
software you want

The problem is that Enterprise Software will not load on a Standard
Box without the upgrade kit, which it is my understanding is another
piece of software that unlocks the Enterprise feature set and includes
Enterprise Edition firmware.

I have never personally done one of the upgrades but from some of my
customers that have it is fairly easy, but expensive.

Good Luck,
Robert
