Wireless Networking - Open Wireless but ICS requires login |

I see some wireless access points that are open (not encrypted) where you
can connect but there is no Internet connection until the client logs in. Just wondering how that is set up. I use XP Home and a WRT54G router. Bob Wilcox |

Hi
This is a form of logon that can be done with an Access Point connected to a real server OS, or with special Access Points that were constructed for this purposes. Entry Level Wireless Cable/DSL Routers (like yours) were not designed with such capacity. Jack (MVP-Networking).
