Default Roaming Profile on Shutdown

Is there a way to allow a save of a roaming profile when a wirelessly
connected users initiates a shutdown? Can the shutdown procedure be stalled
in order to intiate the roaming profile save? I think I also saw some
comments that different wireless adapters can facilitate this....if so do you
have any suggestions?

Make the wireless connection independent of the users
( use system credentials rather than user' )

--PA

Hello Pavel,

I understand that if the machines are using certs they stay wirelessly
connected and can still interact with AD and the network in general. This is
eventually where I'm headed. However, let's say that for now I don't want to
enable machine authentication and I want to allow my users to shutdown but
still retain their roaming profile. Do you know a way to do that?

Right now our workaround is to simply logoff and then initiate a shutdown
after the profile has been written back to the server. I was hoping for a
another way.

Thanks for your reply!

Sincerely,
Andrew
