Hi

There is some thing unclear in your description, if you have a Wireless
cable/DSL Router you have a peer-to-peer Network around the Router, there is
No Host.

Each computer has to be configured in tandem with the Router to connect on
its own to the Internet.

If you want to share Files too, you have to configure both computers File
Sharing.

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed
to be shared.
