Hi

I assume that your Laptop is configured to Auto Obtain Network TCP/IP
parameters, and there are No security settings.

Your Parents Router might be configured slightly different (like DHCP Off,
and or, security might be ON).

Therefore, you have to match the parameters between Router - Laptop.

Your IP indicates. That you computer is configured with the same IP as the
Gateway (I.e. the Router's IP).

IP Address: 192.168.0.1

Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Each components on the Network needs its own IP try first to use Static IP
Address: 192.168.0.111

Connect to the Router with the Browser at IP Address: 192.168.0.1 and
configure matching systems.
