Default connecting 2 computers with one wireless card

My wife has a verizon wireless card and I do not. I wanted to know is it
possible to make a connection to her wireless card using a wireless router.

Hello kucky,

Both computers will need a wireless adapter to make a wireless connection.
However, your wife has a wireless router and the router may have LAN ports
on the back of it. If you already have a wired adapter installed, you can
simply take an ethernet cable and connect your machine to one of the LAN
ports to make a network connection.

**If I understand what you are asking, (and that's a big if)** then the
answer is not directly. Your wife has a Verizon wireless internet card or
WAN card. A card capable of connecting to Verizon cellular network, correct?
If indeed this is the type of card you're talking about these cards do not
normally also do Wi-Fi the type of connection you would need 802.11 to
connect to an access point or wireless router. If she also has a
802.11a/b/g/n or (any type of 802.11 card) she could in theory share her WAN
card with her wireless card ( or a wired card connected to an access point)
and do what you are requesting. She need to check her contract with Verizon
to see if this would be legal to do, most wireless internet cards are not to
be networked I believe.

Hi
In theory your wife's setting is like having a Wireless DialUp.
DialUp conncetion can be shared this way, http://www.ezlan.net/DialUp.html
However Verizon might Not allow it, as David said, call and ask.
