I have a Windows XP that was running fine until I had to re-install Pro on my
computer which has the router. After installing it, I ran the newtowrk set up wizard on all 3 computers. Now I get "acces denied" when I try to network the computer with a wireless adapter....what happened & how can I fix it? Thanks =?Utf-8?B?NWh1bHNlcw==?= |

Hi
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed to be shared. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...lesharing.mspx http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;304040 Jack (MVP-Networking). Hi
Is the printer set for sharing? Did you install the printer drivers as a network printer, on the computers that do not have the physical printer. Jack (MVP-Networking). Hi
What "changed my registry to 0" means? In the computer that does not have a printer log to Control Panel / Printer, click on add a network printer (be ready with the drivers) and follow the wizard. If the printer is Not visible, and all else fails. Install NetBEUI on all computers and use it in combination with TCP/IP to share. Adding NetBEUI as Sharing Protocol in WinXP: http://www.ezlan.net/netbeui.html Jack (MVP-Networking).
