Hi
If the Laptop CPU is over 400MHz and the memory is at least 256MB, you are
better of upgrading to Win XP home. There are legitimate sales/rebates as
low as $35.
Otherwise, with less robust hardware, upgrade to Windows2000.
In the long run you son would have more secure better computer, for little
money.
