I know very little about ntl, but essentially, it depends on whether the
cable modem" that you get from ntl (or buy on your own) connects via USB
or Ethernet. If the cable modem only has a USB connection, your options
are quire limited, and although there may be a few wireless routers that
can accept a USB connection, most do not, and require an Ethernet
connection. I do not know if Belkin makes a USB-interface wireless router.

It is possible, however, to connect a USB-interface cable modem to a PC
running WinXP and then use Internet Connection Sharing to share that
connection to a wireless router, but this setup would require that the
computer connected to the cable modem be left on all the time that
anyone wants to use the Internet connection. A cable modem with
Ethernet interface is a preferable and more flexible solution.
