Default Should we worry about adminsitrative shares?

I set up a wireless network and thought I'd protected my C
drive from prying eyes.
Much later, and much to my dismay, I discovered that Windows
automagically creates the hidden administrrative share C$.

Isn't this a HUGE security hole?

If you unshare it, it comes back on it's own.
I jumped thru several hoops to turn it off.

Isn't this something wireless networkers should worry about...
A LOT???

If your admin password is not strong - then yes, you should
be worrying A LOT.
If you have no admin password at all, the XP admin shares
will not be accessible over network AT ALL, so no worry.

Hope this helps.

That's counter-intuitive, but very good news.
Thanks, mike
