Hi

What ever your LAN speed is. It is Not so important since you Internet
connection is only 1Mb/sec.

1Mb/sec. should yield 100KB/sec download (so you are not terribly Off).

not fare off? they are getting about half of what they should have. not
46.6KB download speed.

Hi
Read slowly the two pages that I linked to in my pervious post.
There is a description there of how to optimize your connection and measure
the speed by downloading a 10MB file.
If the actual Download "Speed" is 60 to 100KB/sec. your are within the
expected range. Otherwise you have to take it with your ISP.
