Im trying to get into the IT idustry but thier seems to be many companys out
there offering training but they all end up not quite forfilling everything they say. I'm trying to find a legitimate training company in the UK that i can get quality training with certifide Microsoft accredited certificates at the end, I know a hell of a lot about Pc's and all things related but i dont have 'the bit of paper' to prove it (qualifacations). If anyone can give me some help or advice ont his matter as to where i should be looking, what my options are, what help with payments. I just cant seem to get my foot on the ladder. Please Please help me as i would love to make my mark in this industry. Thankyou all for your time and help. =?Utf-8?B?YjBkeXIwY2syMDAz?= |

I am a very creative person, i like to be hands on, i like to see what i have achieved. Unfortuantly there doesnt seem to be any 'Careers advice' for the over 16's anymore. I'm 27 and have been in and out of the industry and have hit a stumbling block as i havent got the relevant qualifications. =?Utf-8?B?YjBkeXIwY2syMDAz?= |

Hello there,
I know how it is like. Honestly, there isn't any program or course will take you there. Because none of them will cover all you need. I graduated from a Computer Science Degree and worked for about 3 years now. I now strongly believe that you do NOT need a degree to do what I am doing right now, which is network admin. However, if you want to get higher, then you would. Here is my suggestions. Get into a recognized school for a short-term program with your target in mind. Work so hard at the same time to gain these MSCE, MCSA, and so. Your resume will then says, for example, Acquired Certificate of Network Administrator and MCSE, Network+, A+... within 12 months Then work just as hard to find a company that will take you as a entry-level person, which also appreciate and support your affords in learning. BAM!!! They may even pay for your MBA. Good Luck! John,
Your response should be '....would do is learn how to spell'...........NOT '...is to learn to..' thought similar and it might be ok to have a slight dig BUT you should really also try to help the person also...IMHO! So, humour (English spelling, you yanks won't understand..he he I'm in the same boat but slightly different interest. You appear to be more hardware/network biased and I would like to get into software. I am a little older than you (my nose just grew a couple of inches) and have all the usual financial burdens....family, mortgage etc. I really can't afford (time or money) to jump into training but hey, I guess I either want to do it or I don't...so I need to make a choice. I'm guessing my approach will be to study on an evening/weekends in the prep books and have a shot at the exam on my own. I'll probably see how the 1st one goes, I won't have any expectations other than to get a feel for the exam. I just hope in the end that these certs/quals will at least get me in the door for interview!! The response you got from PL sounds good if you can commit to it!
