i've been taking some pracs on the 70-282 and I see passing this exam gives a
credit towards the MCSE. But by the look of these questions it feels like i am in an enterprise /MCSE exam anyway. I think there's too much about terminal servers, clusters and member servers. I want to work with SBS and i feel a lot of the questions are out of the playing field. my 0.2c =?Utf-8?B?Z29sbHVt?= |

Hi Gollum,
Thanks for the critique. I have made a note to reconvene the exam creation team to rewrite it based solely on one guy who uses 10% of the functionality of Small Business Server rather than applying to the ten thousand situations that a small business consultant should know in order to properly serve his or her clients. In all seriousness: Clustering is not covered at all. Terminal Services and Member Servers are a fact of life and frankly if you do not understand them and the benefits and limitations to them then you are missing part of the skills required to pass the exam. 70-282 is not, despite the beliefs or wishes of many, an exam on Small Business Server. If it were then you would have a legitimate beef because SBS cannot be a TS or MS. However as both of these rolls can exist in a small business environment it is important to know them. On a slightly different note if you feel that these are all enterprise level topics I would like for you to tell me what you think after you have cracked 70-291, a core MCSE exam. My bet is you will long for the days of easy 70-282. Good luck! M -- MDG, MCT MCSA (2003), MCSA (2000), MCDST. ok, point taken. But is there really a need for the primary tones of cheap
sarcasm in your post? This is in fact a form of personal abuse and like my mum always told me, never get personal. I'm sure you can do a little better than this Montreal MCT. Can't you? Oh really? Who is abusing whom here? CHEAP SARCASM? How dare you? That
was finely crafted bits of facetious sarcasm blended and aged in the finest cellars! That was aged, single-malt, VSOP sarcasm and you liken it to what, potty humour? <sniff> I don't know what to say... I am really and truly hurt, a purveyor and collector of the finest faciteousness to be likened to a dollar-store whoopie-cushion. How dare thee? Now I am off to engage in an actual form of personal abuse with a cute little co-ed who prefers brains and FINELY TUNED humour to looks M -- MDG, MCT MCSA (2003), MCSA (2000), MCDST.
