Mediaplayer DIVX Code.

Can anyone offer me assistance with above ? What is Mediaplayer 'DIVX' Code ?
Can anyone advise me as to where I can download it from ? and how it works ?
I currently have downloaded some video's but cannot get Mediaplayer to open
them - Computer tells me that I have do obtain the above ?
Have already attempted to open video Download with Realplayer - will not
work ??

You could try the DivX website or do a google search for "the codecs" (with
the quotes). I have been using "the codecs" for a couple of months now and
the only thing I haven't been able to play is real player files in Windows
Media player.
