Convert back to internet explorer 6

I just downloaded and installed Internet Explorer 7. What a mistake! How do I convert back to Internet Explorer 6? I don't know what they were thinking (or not) when they released this thing. It's not ready. It sure doesn't work well with gmail. It has a few very neat add ons, but it needs a lot more work.
