cisco 1200 repeater mode basic questions:

why does radio (either a or g) disable when I put it into repeater mode ?
do I have to match security on root ap with security on repeater?
btw both ap's are cisco 1200
does the repeater have to authenticate with the root ap and if so LEAP ?

any help would be greatly appreciated !

oh the root ap is configured with EAP and WPA2, using Odyssy client to connect....
