I have recently set up a wireless network on my home computer through a DLINK
router. When I look at "wireless networks", it comes up DLINK unsecured wireless network. This does not sound right, how to I go about fixing this if it is wrong, don't know very much about networking. =?Utf-8?B?UGFt?= |

You have security link ( security page after that ) when you configure your
router with browser ( IE ) Arkady "Pam" <> wrote in message news:67F35A2F-80D5-4E55-A2A9-... >I have recently set up a wireless network on my home computer through a >DLINK > router. Generally speaking you'll need to go to the router setup page. If you don't
know the address of your router try, Clicking on | Start | run... | CMD [Enter] | In the pop-up window type ipconfig [Enter] You should see a line that begins Default Gateway.......:192.168.xxx.xxx Enter this value in Internet Explorer as http:\\192.168.xxx.xxx to go to your dlink setup pages. If you are asked for a username/password try Admin and Admin You'll want to enable WPA or WEP if that is all that is available to you. Check out the link that Jack gave you. -- David Hettel Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
