I am trying to connect to my work institutions VPN connection using the
Cisco VPN client (v. 4.04-A-K9) using Linux, Xandros 3.0 (2.6.9 Linux
kernel), But I have some problems that make it virtually unusable...
Here's how far I have got:
1) compiled and installed correctly
2) can log in and authenticate (I know this because I get the
authentication and encryption responses, also I can send email via the
email server and this isn't visible to the outside world)
However I seem to have potential issues with:
1) address resolution (the names and addresses of all the DNS servers
are in /etc/hosts just in case), I can ping addresses but I can't
traceroute them
2) routing, I seem to have problems (intermittent?) accessing a machine
on another sub-net (that should be accessible) using http, sftp, ssh
etc. The machine is up and accepting connections from the LAN (I'm the
sysadmin for that machine...)
Any suggestions gratefully received
Mark
