Hi!
I have a broadband connection via cable modem. My PC (now the router) will get an automatic IP, gateway, subnet ... The WAN-subnet is 255.255.0.0 ... i cannot change that. The router-subnet is 255.255.255.0 ... i cannot change that too. Now my question: I cant access the internet with the router. It wont get an automatic IP, also it should (right MAC-adress). Is it possible, that the different subnet-masks cause this problem? Do you know other reasons, why i get connection with my PC-LANcard, but the router isnt able? Cablemodem: Motorola SB5100E Router: MN-700 Thank you very much! thekronos |
