No, once you are an MCSD of Microsoft Visual Studio 6, you'll always be an
MCSD on Visual Studio 6. However, after awhile that certification will become less valuable. For example, you can only use the recent upgrade exams if you are an MCSD .NET. They won't work if you are an MCSD in VS6. -- Larry J. West, MCSD, MOUS, FLMI, ACS "Adam" wrote: > Hi, > can anyone tell me whether the MCSD on Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 has > been canceled or not? Thank you! In fact, I am not a MCSD now, but I want to be one. I have
developped software using the VS6 for several years. Now I want to take the exam of MCSD, but I don't know whether the MCSD exam for VS6 exists of not. Adam:
Sorry I misunderstood your question. All of the exams for MCSD on Visual Studio 6 have been cancelled, so you no longer can become an MCSD for Visual Studio 6, just .Net. However, the Microsoft Office Specialist Exam for Access 2000, 2002, and 2003 are still available. You might want to take one of those exams. Access uses a modification of Visual Basic 6 called VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). The MOS exams, unfortunately, do not test VBA. Another option for VB6 certification would be www.brainbench.com. Some employers actually require brainbench certification since they don't have the problems with braindumps that Microsoft certifications have. Hope that helps. -- Larry J. Thank you for your elaborate answer. I have decided to prepare the exam for
MCSD on .NET. Nice to meet you! "LarryWestMCSD" wrote: > Adam: > Sorry I misunderstood your question.
