I had this problem a while ago and now with 2.0 it has come back. I
will have some number of tabs open (indeterminate) when all of a sudden
I will notice the tab on the far right will extend past the edge of the
screen and the scroll bar is gone. Thereafter any tab I select will
exhibit this behavior. I need to close FF and reopen to rectify it. I
have the default theme and the Google toolbar.

Have you opened FF in Safe Mode to see how i behaves?

Start>>Programs>>Mozilla Firefox>>Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)
