When typing, the computer stops and misses some letters and spaces. Also the
cursor stops then moves too far when I am moving the mouse around. Any suggestions what the problem might be. It is an HP Laptop with Microsoft XP. Thanks Denis =?Utf-8?B?RGVuaXM=?= |

I had a simular problem with my Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook. Eventually, I
disabled touchpad, and been using regular USB mouse eversince. Touchpad was freaking out. "Denis" wrote: > When typing, the computer stops and misses some letters and spaces. I work with a lot of college student laptops and I see a frequent problem
similar to yours, Denis. Sergey's solution is a good one. What's happening is that the touchpad can 'feel' pressure even when you just rest the heel of your hand anywhere on the laptop. That pressure causes the cursor to be erratic. Disabling the touchpad and getting an external mouse is the quickest and surest solution. Or you might try to adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad to require a little more pressure. rohan "Denis" wrote: > When typing, the computer stops and misses some letters and spaces.
