I sure hope someone can give me a little career advice. I have no IT
experience. I have a BS in Special Education and was a teacher for 14 years. In January of 2005, I began taking courses with Strayer University Online. I enrolled in the AA in Computer Info. Systems program. I've almost completed that degree, but have realized that I have no "expertise" in any particular area, nor do I meet the requirements for any IT jobs in my area.....not even entry-level jobs. I think that going for the Associates degree was a huge mistake, but I'm almost done now, so I plan to finish. I want to get a certification in something, but I don't even know where to start. Which certification is good for a beginner and will make me most marketable? I have a very strong dislike for programming. I'm leaning toward the database end of the IT field. Any suggestions? =?Utf-8?B?aGxhYnJhbXM=?= |

How about MCDBA? I started with no experience in this field as I was just a
software support and software tester for my company. I began working with my DBA and now I am on the path of studying to take my tests. -rachel "hlabrams" <> wrote in message news:0E4E1D36-A84B-4BEB-A42B-... >I sure hope someone can give me a little career advice.
