What are you hearing this noise on? Wireless PCI adapters don't have
speakers.

I can hear it in my speakers.

If you hear noise in your speakers, most likely it doesn't have anything
to do with your wifi network. This is a little surprising, because even
inexpensive computer speakers are usually shielded to prevent just this
sort of thing. What kind of speakers do you have, and how are they
connected to your sound card?

I would suspect other sources of EMI, such as nearby power lines,
fluorescent lamps, or other electrical equipment. Can you narrow it
down by turning off various things until the noise goes away? There is,
however, one category of "wireless" devices that I do know to cause
audible interference -- BlackBerry.

Happens on some appliances. Switch to another or do what most humans do and
ignore it because after a while you wont hear it.

In my case, the noise relates mostly to the heat of the item. When not hot,
it doesn't make the noise. Maybe a desk fan running on your appliance may
help if heat causes your noise.
