Default Anyone available to help newbie on wirelesss?

Messenger has been "freezing". In the middle of chat it just stops
sending/receiving messages. The first couple of times the people who I were
sending to, could still get my messages, but I would not got their responses.
Now they don't get mine 7 I don't get theirs. IM stays open & I can see my
messages enter the chat box after I hit send, but it seems that the
communication is just then cut off. Sometimes it "pops" back in out of
nowhere & I will receive all the messages typed since it froze - all at once.
I have rebooted, taken the battery out, unistalled & re-installed several
times, & it keeps happening. I'm working on a IBM Thinkpad T43 - if that
makes any difference. Also - Messenger cuts out all together & automatically
signs me back in, repeatedly during seesions. This is all new - never
happened b4 ( been using Messenger for years) - until about a week
ago???????? HELP?!

Hi,

Since you have posted it on the wireless networking group, i am assuming
that you are using a wireless network.

are you getting this message "Wireless network now connected"... in the
balloon at the system tray. Is this appearing again and again. Did you test
the signal strength of your wireless network.

Do reply to these questions and we will be able to understand more of this
behaviour of messenger.

There is a lot that could be going on. What version of messenger are you
running? You'll find the version information under | Help | About |. Are you
running under windows XP, and do you have any other firewalls than the
standard windows firewall? Does messenger just stop responding, but you can
still move the mouse, and open other windows, or does your entire system
lock up and stop responding?
