Default Floppy Disc

I have noticed that after installing my xp home that the floppy disc no
longer comes up with the rest of the disc drives when I double click my
computer. I go to device manager and it says that the device is working
well..When I restart my computer the floppy disk is included in the light
show at start up.. How can i get windows to recognize the floppy disk???
Thanks

Default RE: Floppy Disc

Have you tried using your Add Hardware Wizard?

Have you checked the compatibility list for your CD drive?

http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx

I would also try taking the drive physically out of the machine and
reinstalling it. Things like this have happened to me before and taking it
out and putting it back, as simple as it may sound, works somtimes.

Good luck.
