Default MCP Exams compared to CompTIA exams

I have been preparing for about 45 days for the 70-270 exam after passing the
CompTIA A+ and Network + exams. (Failed the OS Tech exam the first time then
scored 150 points higher in less than 24 hours later. I don't think it was
me...)

I see that a 700/1000 is required for the 70-270 certification. Are the
70-270 questions weighted similar to CompTIA exams? In other words 1
question does not necessarily carry the same weight as another. So 700 is
not getting 70% of questions correct, it would actually just be 70% of the
total points possible?

That is correct. The questions on the Microsoft exams are not all
weighted equally. There are many different kinds of questions on these
exams which would make it very difficult to weight them equally.

Where do you get your information? I am pretty sure it is wrong, but I
would like to see your sources and compare them to mine first...
