Hi
Still having problems, the desktop wont connect to the secure network properly. When it has been set as secure from unsecure it just logs itself in, (doesn't ask for the key like the laptops). It has a dlink pci card fitted, could it be a problem with the card or driver that is showing itself only when security is set? thanks Gary -- Visit my websites at www.justjents.co.uk www.recumbent.50megs.com geepeetee |

There are many different kinds of security. All machines generally need to
share a common speed, and a common security type. You may just need to discover all wireless networks, and pick your router from the list shown to be able to set a password. But you'll need to know the type of security being used WEP, WPA, WPA-2, etc. The router can also be setup to reject all but some MAC address trying to connect to it. -- David Hettel Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
