To configure a manual binding, first create a host pool, then specify
the IP address of the client and hardware
address or client identifier.
The hardware address is the MAC address. The client identifier, which is
required for Microsoft clients (instead of hardware addresses)
is formed by concatenating the media type and the MAC address of the
client. Refer to the "Address Resolution Protocol Parameters" section of
RFC 1700, Assigned Numbers, for a list of media type codes.
Router(config-dhcp)# hardware-address hardware-address type
Router(config-dhcp)# client-identifier unique-identifier
IP - telephone it is not Microsoft Client , but
command hardware-address 02c7.f800.0422 is not working!!!
it is only working with client-identifier.
Part of working config:
ip dhcp pool IP_Telephone_82472
host 10.12.152.190 255.255.255.0
option 150 ip 10.12.14.2
What's wrong? Why it is not wokring with hardware-address? When I
should use hardware-address?
