Default 3-D ICs

Hey is there some kind of list of known 3-D circuit entities?

I'm interested in some of the opportunities offered by making
three-dimensional integrated circuits.

It's one thing to use the layers with the metal to run heat pipes and
capillary entropy feeders, but to more or less free-form semiconductor
without vias seems really great.

I figure it's a good idea to consider 3-D IC designs.

If there's some list of entities and what they do, hey, uh, how are 3-D
ICs written in HDL? I guess that's a custom logic.

Thanks,

Ross F.

Same way 2-D ICs are designed in HDL. Part of the point of HDL is that
it models the logic, not the physical layout.
