E1 Configuration question

I am having problems with the configuration of my E1 card VWIC2 - 1MFT
- G703

The connection is a standard RJ but I can't get the config to work.
The router we will be swinging the E1 from is configured as such:

interface Serial0/0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay IETF
no ip mroute-cache
!
interface Serial0/0.112 point-to-point
ip address 124.205.120.70 255.255.255.252
frame-relay interface-dlci 112 IETF

WIC Slot 0:
Serial 1T WAN daughter card
Hardware revision 1.0 Board revision J0
Serial number 28155109 Part number 800-01514-01
Test history 0x0 RMA number 00-00-00
Connector type Wan Module
EEPROM format version 1
EEPROM contents (hex):
0x20: 01 02 01 00 01 AD 9C E5 50 05 EA 01 00 00 00 00
0x30: 98 00 00 00 11 11 26 01 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF

I think we have an external CSU/DSU

Can anyone give any advice.

Thanks

I read the specs for this card from cisco and it looks like it is more
used for voice applications than for data applications because of the
echo cancellation features it has.
What is the status of the interface? Is it up ? I don't see in your
configuraiton where you are setting the number of timeslots you want to
use. Even tough it is an E1 you have to specify if you want to use the
whole E1 or just some timeslots in it.
Perform a " service-module e1 timeslots 1-31" under the serial
interface. That is if you have an integrated DSU/CSU in you router.
You also want to try if the card is specified in the configuraiton
with a "card type e1 " command.

IIRC, there is a command you'll want to put in IOS to "toggle" a VWIC
to data mode from voice. Also depending on the router only certain
slots will allow the card to exist in "data" mode.

I can't find the relevant config for you, but I remember running in to
this frustrating issue about a year ago; and the above notes were the
two keys to solving it.

I think you may need

controller E1 0/0
channel-group timeslots 1-31

serial 0/0:0
ip adddress etc

That I think should be
