Default Bluetooth Help

I have a Toshiba A105-S361 laptop. It came with Bluetooth installed. I now
have a Blackberry 7105t which also is equipped with Bluetooth. However, I
cannot get them to connect. I believe the problem is with my laptop. I have
never used the Bluetooth...when I first clicked on the icon it started to
"install" the device. After a few seconds it asked for me to plug in my
device...I plugged it into the UBS port, but nothing happened. I can't figure
out what to do. HELP!

Bluetooth means "wireless". The only time you would plug anything in is like
in my case, my desktop PC has no bluetooth capability, so I bought a
motorola Bluetooth adapter (goes in usb port)so I could communicate with my
motorola V557 phone. But if you have bluetooth built in your laptop and
built in your blackberry you have NOTHING to plug in.. Sounds like something
is configured wrong. But plugging in the blackberry defeats the whole
wireless Idea! You need to read both configuration instructions, that's the
problem in a nutshell.
I know it's not your answer, but at least you know you don't plug anything
in

According to the specs at Toshiba, sorry your laptop doesn't have built in
bluetooth. It has Centrino which is built in wi-fi.

There is a similarity and difference in the two:

Bluetooth is really a PAN device - Personal network.

Wi-fi (Centrino, that is, not including Wi-max) is Local Area Networking
(LAN).

While they appear to be much the same thing in reality - that is that they
both communicate wirelessly with other devices, in this instance for you
they are two entirely different things. Don't confuse the two if you are.

According to Toshiba specs at
http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/cont..._A105-S361.pdf
you have built in wi-fi and not built in Bluetooth.

So, if you didn't get an external device to plug in so as to do bluetooth at
your computer, you need to buy one. What is it that you are plugging in to
the USB port? Can you explain what it says it is? If it is definitely a
bluetooth transceiver then you probably need to install everything for it.
