An unknown port adpater message typically indicates that the verion of
IOS on the box does not recognize the port adpater in question.
Typically means you need to upgrade to a newer IOS...

ROUTER W/2 WIC SLOTS, 1 NETWORK(CIS2620-TS), IP-BASE) :

12.1, 12,2, and 12.3 will work. NEVER use version of code on a router
that has a "T" or "X" in the name unless you need a specific feature.
T code is new software features, and X is new hardware features. 12.1T
code becomes 12.2 code, 12.2T code becomes 12.3 code, and 12.3T will
become 12.4, same with X code. The only T or X code you should run is
the latest train of T code, in this case 12.3T, because any feature you
need in 12.2T code is available in 12.3. Code without letters contains
only bug fixes, of the previous T and X trains.
