Default Peer to Peer Wireless

I need to connect two computers in a peer to peer workgroup wirelessly.
There will be no internet connection just two computers (computer1 and
computer2).
I need to be able to remotely control(using remote desktop) computer 1 using
computer 2. The distance between the computers will be 100ft. My conclusions
are as follows:
Using a 3ft. RJ45 Cat5 cable connect computer1 to a Wireless Access
Point(WAP). The WAP is being used to boost the signal from Computer1.
Computer2 will wirelessly access the WAP thereby accessing computer1. Is
this correct or do I need to set this up differently. Computer1 has Windows
Media Center Edition(MCE) 2005 and Computer2 has Windows XP Pro. Thanks in
advance for any assistance.

Simon

Hi
It should work, just make sure that your Access Point is equipped with
removable Antenna. 100 feet indoor is stretching the limit, you might need
to put an high gain directional Antenna on the Access Point.
To ensure proper connection the CAT5e cable that connects the Access Point
to the computer has to crossover.
