SMB connectivity over a modem?

Hello

I am really looking for some Windows CE networking help. I have posted
this in the other Windows CE groups but have not got any help so I am
branching out.

I am trying to connect through a modem to a SMB server.
We can connect through the dial up just fine but when they try to mount
a SMB share they get the error 53 message.
The server can be pinged from the CE device
Questions:
1. How do you get the DNS and WINS populated?
2. What might be the issue when the error 53 is returned?
3. Is DHCP required to mount a SMB share?
4. How do I get the dial up to fill in the WINS, DNS, & DHCP settings?
What else might be the problem?
Any other place I should look for answers?

All you help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks much!

Regards,

Gary
