Vaio crashes on file transfer over wireless network- help!

Hi I have a Sony Vaio VGN-B1XP wireless enabled laptop. I have set up a wireless network connection using a Belkin router. The laptop keeps crashing when I try to send e-mails via Microsoft Outlook or when I try to print Word documents to a printer connected to the wireless network. It works fine with a wired connection. I am using WPA encryption (in case that makes a difference). Does anyone have any suggestions as to why, as I am at my wit's end? I have tried two different Belkin routers, but that didn't help...
