Hi,

Cisco 801 ISDN router was working fine, was studying with it, and came
accross following errors one day suddenly:

It'll generate the followeing lines when I'm in IOS all the time:

00:32:25: %PQUICC-1-LOSTCARR: Unit 0, lost carrier. Transceiver
problem?
00:33:25: %PQUICC-1-LOSTCARR: Unit 0, lost carrier. Transceiver
problem?
%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/network-confg (Timed out)
%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/cisconet.cfg (Timed out)
%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/patriot-confg (Timed out)
%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/patriot.cfg (Timed out)

Any idea's would be appreciated, is it something to do with the IOS
being loaded for run-time at start up from memory?
Is this a common error that I can fix and not a hardware error?

I am accessing the router throught the serial port/console port

thx

miles

Do you have a connection on your ethernet interface?

Those who do not help themselves do not deserve the help of others.
In other words, this is a FAQ.
