I disagree. OSPF concepts and BGP concepts are the same (minus Cisco
specific extensions). So one can get quite a bit of knowledge that can
be quickly transferred. The gimmicky questions on the lab can be
tackled separately from fundamental questions.
But I will agree that hands-on time on Cisco gear is HIGHLY recommended.
