It seems like i locked myself out from our 4006 switch.
I activated TACACS+ authentication on the switch towards a Cisco ACS server. Unfortunately I forgot to configure the TACACS+ secret key on the switch and now it won't let me in. Neither TELNET nor serial console access works. It doesn't even give me a loginprompt. I'm afraid I will have to do the password recovery procedure. Before moving on with the password recovery procedure I just wanted to check with you guys here if there is some other way to get into the switch again. Thanks and regards, Rutger Sweden Rutger Blom |

When you will get the prompt use telnet password for user name and than again for password. With best regards, Andrey. Andrey Tarasov |

Hello!
When I telnet into the switch it immediatly gives me a "authentication failed" and then exits.
