Well, after many attempts to squeeze blood from a stone, it is true
that the 2.9.xx series of firmware that is supposed to enable
something that vaguely resembles v.92 functionality on our AS5300s is
actually just a man behind the curtain. V.92 is a farce on AS5300s.
Not only is v.92 broken, it doesn't work worth a f@ck. I have read the
tech docs that state that V.PCM upstream will never be supported due
to hardware limitation, but what about V.PCM downstream. While it
states that the MICA modems are allegedly capable of V.44 compression
and that the modems are capable of V.PCM, it really doesn't work. No
seriously. Hey Cisco, you readin' this?

V.92 Quick Connect (QC) and Modem on Hold (MoH) work.

PCM downstream has been supported on MICA modems for years and
years and years. K56Flex and V.90.

Yeah, V.44 works great and PCM downstream (V.90/K56Flex) works
fine. What problems are you seeing?
